Suunnittelija Antonio Citterio kertoo saaneensa idean Jens tuolisarjaansa historiallisista lähteistä - käsinojallisena tuoli kantaakin itsessään niin muistumia perinteisistä kiinalaisista istumista Ming dynastian ajalta kuin Shaker-tuoleistakin.
Tuolien puinen rakenne on pyöreä sekä kurvikas ja se on ilmeeltään myös hyvin skandinaavinen, varsinkin yhdistyessään kauniiseen paperinarupunontaan ja se istuu kauniisti monenlaisten ruokapöytien ääreen. Tuolin työstötekniikoissa näkyy taidokkaat käsityöläisperinteet parhaimmillaan.
