Suunnittelija Antonio Citterio kertoo saaneensa idean Jens tuolisarjaansa historiallisista lähteistä - käsinojallisena tuoli kantaakin itsessään niin muistumia perinteisistä kiinalaisista istumista Ming dynastian ajalta kuin Shaker-tuoleistakin.
Tuolien puinen rakenne on pyöreä sekä kurvikas ja se on ilmeeltään myös hyvin skandinaavinen ja mukava istua. Tuolin työstötekniikoissa näkyy taidokkaat käsityöläisperinteet parhaimmillaan ja se on kaunis puisten ruokapöytien äärellä.
